About M.Tech
A Master of Technology (M.Tech) is a two-year postgraduate engineering program for B.Tech/B.E. graduates looking to specialize deeply in a core engineering discipline, move into R&D roles, or pursue a PhD. The program combines advanced coursework with a substantial research thesis.
Admission to most centrally funded and state institutes in India runs through GATE, which is also used for PSU recruitment and stipend eligibility. Some private and state institutes also conduct their own entrance exams or admit directly on the basis of GATE scores and academic record.
