AIIMS Bhopal has 125 MBBS seats. All seats are under the All India Quota — there is no state quota, management quota, or NRI quota. Admission is purely via NEET UG merit through MCC counselling.

The 2024 NEET UG general category closing rank for AIIMS Bhopal MBBS was approximately 510 (score ~510 marks out of 720). OBC closing rank was approximately 2,500; SC approximately 35,000; ST approximately 55,000. Competition is extremely high.

AIIMS Bhopal was established in 2012 under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) as an Institute of National Importance by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Admission to MD/MS/DM/MCh programs at AIIMS Bhopal is via INI CET (Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test), not NEET PG. INI CET is conducted by AIIMS Delhi for all AIIMS, JIPMER, PGI, and other INIs.
