In 2025, the NEET UG AIQ Round 1 cutoff range was AIR 2126 (opening) to 3597 (closing) for General category. Only top NEET scorers (typically 650+ marks) can expect a seat at AIIMS Madurai.

AIIMS Madurai currently offers only MBBS at the undergraduate level. Postgraduate (MD, MS), super-specialty (DM, MCh), doctoral (PhD) and BSc nursing programs are expected to be introduced in phased manner once the permanent campus and hospital at Thoppur, Madurai are fully operational (by 2028).

AIIMS Madurai is one of the most affordable medical colleges in India. The total academic fee for the entire 4.5-year MBBS program is approximately ₹6,750. Hostel fee is ₹4,228 per year. Mess charges are communicated separately.

Admission is exclusively through MCC centralized counselling at mcc.nic.in. Qualify NEET UG, then register on MCC portal and add AIIMS Madurai as a preference during choice filling. After allotment, report to the temporary campus at Ramanathapuram with all original documents.
