APS College of Engineering has an AICTE-approved annual intake of 60 seats per branch for all 7 BE programs, totaling approximately 420 UG seats per year. The 7 branches are: CSE, ISE, ECE, ME, Civil Engineering, CSE (AI&ML), and CSE (Cyber Security). Additionally, the MBA program has 60 seats, and MCA and M.Tech programs are also offered. Out of each branch's 60 seats, approximately 45% (27 seats) go to Government Quota via KCET and 55% (33 seats) to COMEDK/NRI/Management Quota.

For BE programs at APSCE, the annual fee for Government Quota (KCET) seats is approximately INR 60,000 per year (total ~INR 2.40 Lakhs for 4 years). For COMEDK / Management Quota seats, the annual fee is approximately INR 1.60–1.86 Lakhs per year (total ~INR 6.40–7.44 Lakhs for 4 years). The exact fee structure is fixed by the Karnataka government's fee fixation committee and may vary slightly each year. More than 60% of eligible Karnataka students receive Post-Matric Scholarship (E-Pass/SSP) which covers significant portions of the KCET seat fees.

APS College of Engineering has a dedicated Training and Placement Cell that conducts aptitude, communication, group discussion, and personal interview training from the 5th semester onwards. As per 2024–25 placement data, the highest package was INR 12 LPA, the average package was approximately INR 4.5 LPA, and the minimum package was INR 2.8 LPA. The placement rate is approximately 80–85% of participating students. Top recruiters include BOSCH, TCS, Infosys, HCL, IBM, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, ZOHO, Amazon, J.P. Morgan, Hitachi, and Microland, among 40+ companies visiting annually.

The COMEDK UGET 2025 overall closing rank at APSCE for BE programs in Round 3 ranged from 41,643 to 1,11,599 for the General (GM) category. The most competitive branch (CSE/AI&ML) had a closing rank of 73,500–94,218 (GM, Round 3). In 2024, the COMEDK closing rank for BE CSE was 94,338 and for BE CSE AI&ML was 1,01,878. COMEDK is for all-India applicants and Karnataka non-domicile students.
