Birsa Munda Government Medical College, Shahdol was established in 2018 and received NMC recognition in 2019. It is named after tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda and serves the tribal-dominated Shahdol region of Madhya Pradesh.

GMC Shahdol has 100 MBBS seats annually — 15% (15 seats) via MCC AIQ and 85% (85 seats) via DME MP state quota. There is no management or NRI quota.
