IIT Tirupati offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in core engineering, sciences, and interdisciplinary studies. It started with four B.Tech programs—Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering—in 2015 and added Chemical Engineering in 2018. Postgraduate programs began with M.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, and Computer Science in 2018. The institute added its M.Sc Mathematics in 2019 and a Master of Public Policy (MPP) in 2022 as a response to new national needs in policy research. Research is a significant thrust area with MS and Ph.D. programs introduced from 2017. The IIT Tirupati faculty are professionally qualified, with several having global experience, actively participating in publications, funded research projects, and academia-industry interactions. The curriculum places strong emphasis on theory foundations and practical knowledge development through state-of-the-art labs. Students participate in funded research projects, national/international conferences, and societal problem-solving. Several research initiatives at IIT Tirupati address local and global challenges in energy, environment, infrastructure, and public health. The Central Library enables this activity with over 10,000 volumes, 6,600+ e-journals, and software like KOHA, plagiarism checking tools, and remote access to e-resources. It was awarded the Wiley Library Award in 2019. The Computer Center is responsible for the digital backbone, ensuring safe internet, server infrastructure, and support for development. IIT Tirupati strives to achieve global standards in education and research, student-faculty ratio, publications, and employability of graduates. It evaluates itself on the basis of NIRF rankings and data disclosure and continues improving every day. Its vision is to be an incubator of intellectual leadership across sectors.
