Admission to B.Tech at DGI is primarily through JEE Main scores followed by UPTAC (UP Technical Admission Counselling) on the official UP counselling portal. 85% of B.Tech seats are filled through UPTAC, while 15% are available via direct/management quota for students with minimum 45% in PCM (10+2). DGI offers B.Tech in 8 specialisations: CSE, CSIT (NBA-accredited), CSE (AI & ML), IT, ECE, ECS, EEE, and Mechanical Engineering. CSE and CSIT are the most popular branches with the highest intake (180 and 120 seats respectively). IT was the most sought-after in JEE Main UPTAC 2025 counselling, followed by ECS. CSE-IT and CSIT branches have the strongest placement records.
