GRMC Gwalior was established on 1 August 1946 by Maharaja Jiwaji Rao Scindia. It is the 17th medical college of India and the first in Madhya Pradesh, making it one of India's oldest government medical institutions. The college is named after Rajmata Gajra Raja Scindia.
GRMC Gwalior has 200 MBBS seats annually. 15% (30 seats) are via MCC AIQ and 85% (170 seats) via DME MP state quota. Being a government college, there is no management or NRI quota.
The MBBS fee is approximately INR 1,19,000 for the first year and INR 1,04,000 for subsequent years (total ~INR 5.95 lakh for 5 years). GRMC is one of the most affordable government medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh.
GRMC offers 178 MD/MS seats across 22+ disciplines including General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, OBG, Anaesthesiology, Paediatrics, Radiodiagnosis, and more. Super-specialty DM/MCh courses (17 seats) include Cardiology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, and others.
