Yes, a compulsory rural service bond is applicable. Graduates must serve in government/rural healthcare facilities in Tamil Nadu after completing MBBS. Non-compliance with the bond obligations attracts a financial penalty of approximately ₹5,00,000 as per the bond terms signed at the time of admission.
As of AY 2024-25, GMC Ramanathapuram does not offer MD/MS postgraduate courses. Being established in 2021, the college is currently focused on developing its MBBS program and infrastructure. PG programs may be introduced in future years as the college matures and fulfils NMC criteria.
GMC Ramanathapuram has 100 MBBS seats per year, approved by NMC for AY 2024-25. Of these, 85 seats are under the Tamil Nadu State Quota (DME counselling) and 15 seats under the All India Quota (MCC counselling). There are no management or NRI quota seats.
