From AY 2025-26, GMC Sri Ganganagar is affiliated with Marwar Medical University, Jodhpur, having been previously affiliated with Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS), Jaipur.

Government Medical College, Sri Ganganagar was established in 2022 and received NMC permission for 100 MBBS seats for AY 2022-23 under the Rajasthan Medical Education Society.

As per current information, GMC Sri Ganganagar does not offer NMC-recognised PG (MD/MS) courses and is focused on undergraduate MBBS education.
