GMC Yadadri was established in Academic Year 2024-25 — making it the newest government medical college in Telangana. It is part of the Union Health Ministry's approval of new government medical colleges for Telangana. The first MBBS batch commenced in 2024-25.

GMC Yadadri is approximately 50 km from Hyderabad on the Hyderabad–Hanamkonda Highway (NH-163). Bhongiri Railway Station (Secunderabad–Warangal main line) is 10 km from the college — trains reach Secunderabad in ~1 hour. Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is approximately 100 km away. Well-connected by TSRTC buses to Hyderabad.

Annual tuition: approximately ₹10,000/year. All-in annual fee (including additional charges): approximately ₹25,000–₹40,000/year. Hostel: ~₹15,000/year (mess extra). Government General Hospital (GGH), Bhongiri — a 220-bed teaching hospital located in Bhongiri town, approximately 10 km from the college campus.
