IIIT Sonepat is currently operating from a transit campus at SBIT (Sri Balwant Institute of Technology) in the Sonepat-Bahalgarh Industrial Area. The permanent campus is under construction and was expected to be ready by early 2026. Classes at transit campus have ACs, projectors, smart boards, Wi-Fi-equipped labs, and a library.

In 2025, the highest package was ₹62 LPA with 114 offers to 168 eligible students (58.3% rate). In 2024, highest was ₹40 LPA, average ₹15.87 LPA (64.77% rate). In 2023, highest was ₹52 LPA with a 78.79% placement rate. Top recruiters include Amazon, Jio, Microsoft, Arcesium, and Adobe.

The total B.Tech tuition fee at IIIT Sonepat is approximately ₹7.20 Lakhs for 4 years. The fee is the same for all students regardless of category (no institutional fee waiver). Hostel charges are additional. Students can apply for NSP and government scholarships.

IIIT Sonepat offers B.Tech in three specializations: CSE (80 seats), CSE with Data Science and Analytics (80 seats), and Information Technology (80 seats). Total intake is 240 seats. Ph.D. programmes are available in CSE and IT. No M.Tech is currently offered.
