KIMS has 150 MBBS seats per year. All seats are filled through KEA Karnataka counselling across Government/GMP, Management (minority + open), and NRI (15%) quotas.

KIMS is a private Muslim Religious Minority medical college managed by the Islamic Education Trust, Mangalore. It is NOT a government college. However, government-rate seats (25% of total) are available for Karnataka domicile candidates through KEA counselling under KRLMPCA minority college norms.
