KMCMC is neither fully government nor fully private — it is India's first PPP (Public-Private Partnership) medical college in Uttar Pradesh. An MoU was signed in 2022 between the Government of UP and the Shanti Foundation. It operates at the interface of private (Shanti Foundation) and government oversight. Admission is through UPDGME state counselling.

KMCMC has a 20-acre college campus at Village Kandh, Maharajganj. The teaching hospital (KMC Digital Hospital) at Village Mahuwa, Rudrapur, Maharajganj, has 665+ beds with 24x7 emergency, ICU, NICU, OTs, MRI, CT, USG, and blood bank. Ayushman Bharat empanelled.

KMCMC has 5 fully air-conditioned lecture theatres: 2 × 180-seat, 1 × 200-seat, 1 × 250-seat, 1 × 350-seat. A new lecture theatre block has been added with 6 × 300-seat theatres plus 1 × 600-seat theatre — all equipped with advanced AV systems. One of the most lecture-hall-rich campuses among 2024-batch private colleges in UP.
