LHMC is the only all-women undergraduate medical college in India β the MBBS programme (200 seats) is exclusively for female candidates. This has been LHMC's founding charter since 1916. However, PG programmes (MD/MS/MDS/DM/M.Ch) are open to both male and female candidates. BSc Nursing is also for female students only. LHMC has one of the most affordable MBBS fees in India. The annual tuition fee is approximately βΉ6,097 (confirmed by Edufever). Total 4.5-year tuition: approximately βΉ27,436. Hostel fee is nominal (approximately βΉ5,000ββΉ15,000/year as per University of Delhi/MoHFW norms). Mess charges: approximately βΉ1,500ββΉ2,000/month charged separately. LHMC MBBS is exclusively for female candidates. NEET UG 2024 AIQ cutoffs: General opening 158, closing 638; OBC closing 2,109; EWS closing 3,217; SC closing 7,261; ST closing 8,956. For DU Quota (Delhi domicile, 85% seats), the cutoff is significantly more lenient β General category approximately 20,000β50,000 NEET rank, making LHMC accessible to Delhi girls with 600β620 NEET marks in the state quota. The 2025 overall closing rank (all categories combined) was 284,672. A minimum NEET score of approximately 620β630 marks is recommended for AIQ; 580β600 for DU Quota General.
LHMC has two full-fledged teaching hospitals: (1) Smt. Sucheta Kriplani Hospital (877 beds) β a multi-specialty general hospital that has also served male patients since 1991, covering Medicine, Surgery, OBG, Orthopaedics, Dermatology, Psychiatry, Radiodiagnosis, ENT, Ophthalmology, and more; (2) Kalawati Saran Children's Hospital (KSCH, 350 beds) β one of India's largest dedicated paediatric hospitals, providing tertiary-level paediatric care including Neonatology, Paediatric Surgery, Paediatric Cardiology, and India's first paediatric ART centre (started 2007). Together: 1,227 beds of multi-specialty and paediatric care in Central Delhi.
