MIMS Mandya is a fully autonomous government medical college established and funded by the Government of Karnataka. There is NO Management or NRI quota — all 150 MBBS seats are filled through KEA (State Quota, 85%) and MCC (AIQ, 15%) based purely on NEET merit.
MIMS was founded in 2005 with the first MBBS batch admitted in 2006 and the first PG batch in 2010-11. NMC originally recognized it for 100 seats; recognition for 150 seats was renewed from 2020-21 onwards.
150 NMC-approved MBBS seats. 59 PG (MD/MS) seats across 17 specialties. 22 departments including Radiotherapy. PG admissions: 50% via MCC AIQ; 50% via KEA State Quota.
Government fee approximately ₹64,350/year (Karnataka norms 2024-25). Total tuition for 4.5 academic years: ~₹2.90 lakhs. Hostel, mess, and university fees are additional. Intern stipend: ₹30,000/month.
