Yes. Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (NIMSR), Kohima, is the first and only NMC-recognized medical college in Nagaland. NMC issued the Letter of Permission on 25 April 2023. The inaugural MBBS batch commenced on 1 September 2023, ending Nagaland's 60+ year wait for a medical college since achieving statehood in 1963.
