The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has issued an advisory regarding certificate and document requirements for candidates applying for the Jharkhand State Merit List based on the NEET PG 2026 result.
The advisory applies to postgraduate medical admissions, including Degree, Diploma, and DNB courses. It asks eligible candidates to ensure that their certificates and supporting documents are updated at the time of submitting the online application for the State Merit List.
According to the notice, candidates claiming benefits under applicable state categories should ensure that their local resident and category certificates meet the prescribed requirements. EWS candidates should have an updated Income and Assets Certificate issued by the appropriate authority.
Candidates seeking Persons with Disabilities (PwD) benefits are advised to obtain an updated certificate. The notice specifies that only certificates issued by RIMS, Ranchi, will be considered valid. Candidates applying under the in-service category must upload an in-service certificate issued by their Civil Surgeon.
The advisory also clarifies that candidates whose category in the State Merit List application differs from the category mentioned in their NEET PG 2026 application will generally be considered under the Unreserved category, subject to the stated exception for differences between Central and State caste lists.
OBC candidates will be allowed to select either BC-I or BC-II in the State Merit List application.
