KNRUHS BDS Free Exit 2026: Last Date October 14 for CQ and Management Quota Candidates
Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS), Telangana, has released a notification allowing candidates admitted to BDS courses under the Competent Authority Quota (CQ) and Management Quota (MQ) for the 2026–27 academic year to discontinue their admission through the Free Exit facility.
According to the notification dated October 13, 2026, the last date to exercise Free Exit is October 14, 2026, up to 5:00 PM. Candidates who wish to discontinue their admitted BDS seat must submit an application to the Principal of their respective dental college within the prescribed deadline.
Candidates who use the Free Exit facility will not be eligible to participate in further BDS counselling rounds under the respective quota, as applicable. Those who discontinue after 5:00 PM on October 14 will be subject to the applicable penalty provisions under the relevant Government Orders.
The university has also clarified an exception for candidates who are upgraded from BDS to MBBS under the corresponding Competent Authority or Management Quota during the Mop-up Phase of counselling after the Free Exit window closes. Such candidates will not face a penalty for discontinuing their BDS admission.
KNRUHS has instructed college principals to return the original certificates and the entire fee paid by candidates who opt for Free Exit. Colleges must also upload the discontinuation details to the admission portal by 5:30 PM on October 14, 2026.
Candidates should submit their applications on time and confirm the required procedure with their respective college.
