MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2: 30 New MBBS Seats Added
he Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the addition of new MBBS seats to the Round 2 seat matrix of NEET UG Counselling 2026. The update was issued through Notice No. 19 dated September 5, 2026, after MCC received information from the concerned institutes regarding the availability of additional seats.
As per the official notice, a total of 30 new All India Quota MBBS seats have been added across three medical colleges. Bagalkote Medical College and Research Institute, Bagalkote has received 15 additional seats, while Government Medical College, Chapra (Saran) has added 7 seats. Another 8 MBBS seats have been added at Shri Ram Janki Medical College and Hospital, Samastipur.
The newly added seats are distributed across various categories, including UR, SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwD, wherever applicable. Candidates participating in MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 2 will be able to include these newly added seats while exercising their college preferences.
Due to the addition of these seats, MCC temporarily halted the Round 2 choice-filling process. According to the notice, the choice-filling facility was scheduled to resume after 7:00 PM on September 5, 2026.
