Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized board. Students appearing in 2026 board exams are also eligible. There is no age limit.
Visit the official NTA CUET website (cuet.nta.nic.in), register with valid email and mobile number, fill the application form, select subjects and universities, upload photograph and signature, and pay the application fee online.
The fee varies based on the number of subjects chosen. For General category candidates selecting 5 subjects, the fee is approximately INR 1,400. SC/ST/PwD candidates get fee concessions.
CUET 2026 has reduced subjects from 63 to 37, removed optional questions, introduced a standardized 60-minute duration per subject, and allows students to choose any subject regardless of their Class 12 stream.
