Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. English must be the medium of instruction at the undergraduate level. Candidates who did not study in English medium must submit valid TOEFL, NELT, or IELTS scores by May 31, 2026. All applicants must have completed a minimum of 15 years of education on a 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis. Final-year bachelor's degree students awaiting results are also eligible to apply, provided they complete all graduation requirements (including practicals, viva, and assignments) before May 31, 2026. For PhD admissions, candidates must hold a postgraduate degree with a minimum of 50% in Finance, Management, HR, Sociology, Economics, or an allied subject. Candidates with valid scores in CAT (2023 onwards), XAT (2024 onwards), NMAT by GMAC (2022 onwards), or GMAT (2022 onwards) are exempted from appearing in IBSAT and can apply directly for IBS admissions.

IBSAT (ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test) is a national-level MBA entrance exam conducted annually in December by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education. It is held in Remote Proctored CBT mode (from home) for admission to MBA and PGPM programmes at 9 IBS campuses across India.
IBSAT 2025 was conducted on December 27 and 28, 2025 in remote proctored mode. The result was declared on December 30, 2025 at ibsindia.org. The scorecard is currently LIVE. The top 500 rankers have received Scholarship Letters.
IBSAT 2025 has 140 MCQ questions across 4 sections: Verbal Ability (50 Qs, 36%), Reading Comprehension (30 Qs, 21%), Quantitative Aptitude (30 Qs, 21%), and Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation (30 Qs, 21%). Total marks: 140. Duration: 120 minutes. No negative marking. No sectional time limit.
The IBSAT application fee (bulletin cost) is INR 1,800 (non-refundable). This can be paid online at general.ibsindia.org or in cash at the nearest IBS Marketing Branch.
Shortlisted candidates are called for two rounds at IBS Hyderabad campus: Micro Presentation (MP) and Personal Interview (PI). For 2025 cycle, these are scheduled from February 14 to 22, 2026. Final selection is based on past academic record + performance in MP + PI.
