Frequently Asked Questions
NMAT by GMAC is a national-level MBA entrance exam conducted by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). It is a Computer-Based Adaptive Test accepted by 50+ B-Schools across India, Philippines, South Africa, Nigeria, Hungary, and Morocco.
Candidates can appear for up to 3 attempts in a single testing cycle. The best score among all attempts is considered for admission. A mandatory gap of 15 days is required between attempts.
NMAT has 108 questions across 3 sections: Language Skills (36 Qs, 28 mins), Quantitative Skills (36 Qs, 52 mins), and Logical Reasoning (36 Qs, 40 mins). Total duration: 120 minutes. Score range: 36–360. No negative marking.
An unofficial score is available immediately after the exam. The official scorecard is available for download within 48 hours of the exam via email notification. Any exam with a test security incident is subject to audit; results take 10 working days.
India: INR 3,000 per attempt (+ taxes). Retake: INR 2,300. Reschedule: INR 1,100. Outside India: US$65 per attempt (+ taxes). Reschedule: US$30. Additional score reports beyond 5: US$5/INR each.

Yes. NMAT allows candidates to choose the order in which they want to attempt the three sections (Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, Logical Reasoning) at the beginning of the exam. This is a unique feature compared to most other MBA entrance exams.
No. NMAT does not have any negative marking. Each correct answer awards marks based on the adaptive scoring model and incorrect or unattempted questions do not result in any penalty.
