About LLM

A Master of Laws (LLM) is a postgraduate law degree for LLB/BA LLB graduates looking to specialize deeply in a specific area of law, move into academia, or strengthen their profile for litigation, corporate practice, or policy roles. Programs run for either one or two years depending on the university, and combine advanced coursework with a research dissertation.

Admission to top law schools in India is primarily through CLAT PG, with AILET PG and CUET PG serving as institute-specific or alternate routes. Most programs allow students to pick a specialization track from the outset, shaping which electives and dissertation topics they pursue.
