About M.Pharm
A Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) is a two-year postgraduate program for B.Pharm graduates looking to specialize deeply in a core pharmaceutical discipline, move into pharma R&D or regulatory roles, or pursue a PhD. The program combines advanced coursework with a substantial research thesis.
Admission to most institutes in India runs through GPAT, which also qualifies candidates for an AICTE stipend during the program. Some state and private institutes also conduct their own entrance exams or admit directly on the basis of GPAT scores and academic record. The program is structured around specialization-focused coursework in the first year, followed by a thesis in the second.
