The wait is finally over. CBSE declared Class 10 results today, April 15, 2026 — earlier than the usual May timeline. Over 24 lakh students who sat for the board exams between February 17 and March 11 can now check their scores. Despite today being a gazetted holiday for Ambedkar Jayanti, CBSE officials were called in to complete the result uploading process.

What's New This Year: Two Exam Phases
CBSE has introduced a two-phase exam system for the first time this year. Today's result covers Phase 1. Students who want to improve marks in up to three subjects can sit for Phase 2, running May 15 to June 1, 2026. Students who failed in two subjects in Phase 1 are placed in the compartment category and can use Phase 2 as a second attempt. Those who missed three or more subjects will have to wait for the main exams in 2027.
Passing Marks and Rechecking
You need at least 33% in each subject — theory and internal assessment combined — to pass. Last year's overall pass rate was 93.66%, with girls at 95% and boys at 92.63%. CBSE does not release a toppers list; instead, it gives merit certificates to the top 0.1% scorers in each subject. If your marks feel off, a rechecking window usually opens about five days after the result.
