The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the revised provisional seat allotment result for Round 1 of NEET UG Counselling 2026, and the final result is expected to be declared today. The revision comes days after MCC first published the provisional list, following a reported error in the uploading of PwD certificates by the Primary Assessment Centre, which required the committee to reprocess and reissue the allotment.
Candidates who registered and locked their choices for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ), along with 100% seats at AIIMS, JIPMER, BHU, AMU, Central Universities, ESIC institutions, and Delhi University/IP University quota seats, can check their revised status on the official MCC portal, mcc.nic.in
What Changed in the Revised Result
MCC's notice clarified that the Round 1 provisional result needed correction because of a certificate-upload error affecting PwD (Persons with Disability) category candidates at the assessment stage. Importantly, the total number of seats allotted has remained unchanged in the revised list, meaning the correction primarily affected specific candidate records rather than the overall allotment numbers. As per the official data, 29,945 MBBS and BDS seats have been allotted through the Round 1 process.
Candidates are advised to download the revised allotment letter afresh, even if they had already checked or saved the earlier provisional PDF, since roll number-wise details may have shifted for affected categories.
Grievance Window Now Closed
Following the release of the revised provisional result, MCC had opened a short grievance redressal window for candidates to flag discrepancies such as category mismatches, incorrect quota allotment, or personal data errors. That window closed at 3:59 PM on 21 August 2026. With grievances now reviewed, MCC is expected to publish the final Round 1 seat allotment result today, incorporating any corrections arising from candidate objections.
It's worth noting that a provisional result carries no binding weight, MCC's official notices consistently state that the provisional list is indicative in nature and subject to change, and candidates cannot claim any right over an allotted seat until the final result is out. Candidates are also cautioned not to approach any college for admission based on the provisional list alone.
How to Check the Revised NEET UG Round 1 Result
- Visit the official MCC counselling website, mcc.nic.in.
- Navigate to the UG Medical Counselling section and find the Round 1 revised/final result link.
- Log in using your NEET UG registration credentials, or open the published PDF and search your roll number using Ctrl+F.

Reporting Schedule for Allotted Candidates
Candidates who are allotted a seat must report to their respective institute between 22 August and 31 August 2026, as per MCC's revised counselling schedule. At the time of reporting, candidates need to carry:
- NEET UG admit card and scorecard
- Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates
- Category certificate, where applicable
- Valid photo identity proof, along with photocopies of each document
- Printed allotment letter downloaded from the MCC portal
Candidates allotted seats under the PwBD category will also need to complete disability assessment at the designated centre during reporting.
Why This Matters for Aspirants
A revised result mid-counselling can be unsettling, especially for candidates near cutoff ranks who may see their allotment status change between the original and revised lists. However, MCC's correction mechanism exists precisely to ensure that errors, such as the PwD certificate issue this year, don't result in incorrect or unfair allotments going final. Candidates should treat today's final result as the authoritative version and disregard any earlier screenshots or downloads of the first provisional list.
With reporting dates already active from 22 August, candidates allotted seats have a narrow window to complete document verification and admission formalities. Missing the reporting deadline can result in forfeiture of the allotted seat, so candidates are strongly advised to keep all documents ready in advance rather than waiting for the final result announcement to start preparing.
What Happens Next
Once Round 1 reporting and joining conclude on 31 August, MCC will compile the vacancy position and move toward Round 2 of NEET UG Counselling 2026. Candidates who did not receive a seat in Round 1, along with those who chose Float, will automatically be considered in the next round, subject to MCC's seat matrix and reservation rules.
Aspirants are advised to keep checking the official MCC website regularly over the coming days, since further notices, including the final result, reporting confirmation, and Round 2 schedule, are all expected in quick succession.
