Eligibility for the Rank List

Only candidates who registered for TANCET counselling and got their documents verified are considered for the rank list. Candidates need a recognised bachelor's degree of at least three years, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for general category and 45% for BC, MBC, DNC, SC and ST category candidates from Tamil Nadu, as specified in DTE's official Instructions to Candidates.

What Happens After the Rank List

Candidates whose names appear in the rank list become eligible for the online choice filling process. MCA choice filling is scheduled from July 25 to July 27, 2026, and MBA choice filling from July 30 to August 2, 2026. TANCET scores are accepted by more than 200 government, government-aided, self-financing and stand-alone institutions across Tamil Nadu for MBA and MCA admission.
