About BHMS
A Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) is a 5.5-year undergraduate program (including a mandatory 1-year internship) for students who have completed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB). It qualifies graduates to practice as licensed homeopathic physicians, combining homeopathic principles and pharmacy with foundational modern medical training.
Admission to every BHMS seat in India — government and private alike — is through NEET UG, the same exam used for MBBS, BDS, and BAMS admission, followed by centralized or state-level Ayush counselling rounds based on the candidate's rank and category. There is no institute-level alternative to NEET for BHMS admission.
Program Structure
Pre-Clinical & Para-Clinical (Years 1–2.5)
Homeopathic Pharmacy, Organon of Medicine, Anatomy, and Physiology alongside foundational modern medical sciences.
Clinical Phase & Internship (Years 3–5.5)
Clinical postings across Homeopathic Materia Medica and Repertory, followed by a mandatory 1-year rotating internship.
