Is a lower or higher NIFT PG rank better?
A lower All India Rank is better in NIFT counselling. If your rank is at or below the published closing rank for a college-programme-quota-category-round combination, you had a realistic chance of getting that seat.
Why does the result show a 'Round' column?
NIFT counselling happens across multiple rounds (Round 1, Round 2, Round 3, and a final SPOT round), and the closing rank for the same college and programme usually changes each round as seats vacate or fill up. The Round column tells you exactly which round's cutoff you're seeing for that row.
What is 'Quota' in NIFT PG counselling?
NIFT reserves a portion of PG seats at each campus for candidates domiciled in specific states (e.g. Bihar Quota, Kerala Quota, Rajasthan Quota), alongside the All India Quota open to everyone. Selecting your eligible quota shows the relevant cutoff for that reserved pool.
Do I need to select a specific PG programme?
No — programme selection is optional. NIFT uses a common merit rank across its M.Des / M.F.Tech / MFM programmes, so leaving it blank compares your rank against every PG programme at once.
