AYUSH Counselling: AACCC vs State Quota
BSMS admissions are split into two major counselling processes, mirroring MBBS/BDS counselling:
All India Quota (AIQ) Counselling by AACCC
The AYUSH Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) conducts counselling for 15% of government/government-aided seats, 100% of seats in Deemed Universities, Central Universities, and National Institutes. This is open to candidates nationwide.
State Quota Counselling
Individual state counselling authorities manage the remaining 85% of government seats and 100% of private college seats in their respective states. Eligibility for state quota seats is subject to domicile rules set by each state.
Eligibility and Qualifying Cutoffs
To participate in AYUSH counselling for BSMS, candidates must meet the minimum qualifying percentiles in the NEET UG exam:
| Category | Qualifying Percentile |
|---|---|
| General / EWS | 50th Percentile |
| OBC / SC / ST | 40th Percentile |
| General / EWS - PH | 45th Percentile |
| OBC / SC / ST - PH | 40th Percentile |
Candidates must register for counselling on the respective official websites (AACCC for All India Quota, and individual state portals for state quota). Ensure your choice-filling strategy aligns with historic cutoffs for the best outcome.
