About Bharati Vidyapeeth University Medical College, Pune
Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) Medical College, Pune (BVMC Pune) was established in February 1989, initially affiliated to Pune University. In April 1996, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune was granted Deemed University status for its academic excellence, and the medical college became its constituent unit. The college is located on the scenic campus of Bharati Vidyapeeth Educational Centre at Dhankawadi, Satara Road, Pune — approximately 32 km from Pune Airport. It is approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC), NAAC A++ reaccredited, and listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WFME/FAIMER), making its graduates eligible for USMLE and PLAB examinations. BVMC Pune offers MBBS (150 seats, expanding to 250 from AY 2025-26), postgraduate MD/MS programmes across 19+ disciplines, Super Specialty DM/M.Ch courses, PhD, Fellowships, and Skill Development Certificate programmes. The attached Bharati Hospital is a 1,120+ bed NABH accredited multi-specialty tertiary care teaching hospital. The Department of Paediatrics runs an international fellowship in collaboration with Birmingham University, UK. Bharati Hospital has been awarded A+ grade by the Government of Maharashtra under the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana. The campus spans 73 acres with the medical college occupying 23,690.27 sq. mt. and the hospital 33,445.09 sq. mt.

However, admission is regulated by MCC (Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India) through All India Deemed University Counselling.
BVMC Pune has 150 MBBS seats (expanding to 250 from AY 2025-26). All 150 seats are filled through MCC All India Deemed University Counselling based on NEET UG scores. There is no Maharashtra State Quota — candidates from any state in India or abroad are equally eligible.
The annual MBBS fee at BVMC Pune for AY 2024-25 is INR 28,55,600 (Tuition INR 25,96,000 + Development Fee INR 2,59,600). Total for the full MBBS course (4.5 years) is approximately INR 1,14,22,400. NRI fee is USD 85,050 per year. Fee increases by approximately 5-10% per year.
