Admission Process at DSCE Bengaluru
A management quota channel is available for candidates seeking direct admission outside the state counselling process. Applicants should have scored at least 70% in Class 10 Mathematics and Science separately and 65% in Class 12 Mathematics and Physics separately, and should have appeared in CET, COMEDK, AIEEE or JEE; students from non-Indian boards must obtain an AIU equivalence certificate. Requests are made directly to the admissions office, and tuition under this route ranges from about Rs. 3.05 Lakh to Rs. 6 Lakh per year depending on the branch, with roughly Rs. 50,000 per year in other fees, which is considerably higher than the government route. Lateral-entry candidates with a relevant engineering diploma enter the second year through Karnataka DCET, while MBA and MCA applicants require a Karnataka PGCET score for government quota seats, with management quota MBA seats also accepting CAT, MAT or KMAT scores followed by a group discussion and interview. M.Tech candidates are considered on GATE scores or PGCET ranks, with GATE holders receiving first preference during counselling.
- Class 10 and Class 12 (PUC) mark sheets and passing certificates
- Valid entrance scorecard (KCET, COMEDK UGET, JEE Main, DCET, PGCET, GATE, CAT, MAT or KMAT, as applicable)
- Transfer certificate and migration certificate, where applicable
- Category and caste certificates for reserved-category candidates
- Karnataka domicile or study certificates for KCET-route candidates
- Passport-size photographs and identity proof
After seat allotment, candidates report to the college with original documents for verification and pay the applicable fee online. Because the annual fee differs so much between the KCET, COMEDK and management quota routes, applicants are encouraged to review the current scholarship and fee-support options, including state and AICTE schemes, before finalising the route and branch they will apply for. Counselling schedules, seat matrices and fee notifications are released afresh each admission cycle, so confirming these with the admissions office at the time of applying is the most reliable way to plan.
