Admission to the MMS programme at GNVS Institute of Management is made through the Maharashtra Centralised Admission Process (CAP), conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell. Candidates first appear for the MAH-MBA/MMS CET, and the percentile obtained is used to prepare the merit list. Scores of other tests approved by DTE, such as CAT and CMAT, are also accepted under the rules published for each year. The CAP is usually carried out in three rounds for candidates from Maharashtra and from outside the state.

Admission Process at GNVS Institute of Management
The usual steps in the admission journey are listed below. Dates change every year, so the official CET Cell notice should always be checked.
- Register for the MAH-MBA/MMS CET and appear for the exam
- Register for CAP on the State CET Cell portal and upload the required documents
- Wait for document verification and the publication of the merit list
- Fill the option form and choose GNVS Institute of Management among the preferences
- Check the allotment result for each CAP round and accept or freeze the seat
- Report to the institute with original documents and pay the fee
Eligibility requires a bachelor's degree of at least three years in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. The requirement is 45% for backward class candidates belonging to Maharashtra. Candidates who have appeared in the final year examination can receive provisional admission, but they must submit proof of passing by the date prescribed by DTE. If they do not, the admission is cancelled and the fees paid are forfeited. Details of the course can be read on the courses page.
Documents normally asked for at reporting include the CET scorecard and CAP allotment letter, mark sheets of the bachelor's degree, SSC and HSC certificates, a domicile or nationality certificate, and the caste certificate with validity and non-creamy layer certificate for reserved categories. Candidates applying for fee concessions also need an income certificate. Original documents are verified at the institute, so keep photocopies ready as well.
The FRA computation records a sanctioned strength of 240 seats in the regular shift, and the institute admitted 199 students in 2024-25. The institute's fee letter also refers to management seats, which are subject to the DTE and CET Cell rules in force. Applicants interested in such seats should contact the admission office directly and ask for the written seat position. Past closing scores are summarised on the cutoff page.
For queries, the institute lists the phone number 93269 66204 and the email gnvsiom@gnvsiom.org, and an admission desk is available at the Sion campus during working hours. Before paying any fee, read the approved amount for the year on the fee structure page.
