Students at GNVS Institute of Management can seek financial support through the schemes of the Government of Maharashtra and the Government of India, as the college is a CAP-based professional institute. The institute also states that it has tie-ups with banks for education loans. Scholarships and Financial Aid at GNVS Institute of Management

Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti (EBC)

This scheme is meant for domiciled Maharashtra students of the open category who are admitted through CAP and whose family income is within the limit notified by the government, which has been Rs. 8 lakh per annum in recent years. For professional courses in permanent unaided institutes the benefit has been 50% of the tuition fee and 50% of the examination fee. Students must keep the required attendance and should not be receiving any other scholarship or stipend at the same time.

Post-Matric Scholarships and Freeships

Students belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Class, Special Backward Class and Vimukta Jati and Nomadic Tribes categories can apply for post-matric scholarships or freeships, which cover tuition and examination fees in line with the income slab. Applications are made online through the state scholarship portal with caste certificate, validity, income certificate and admission proof. The facility for each category is different, so read the current government resolution.

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS)

Candidates admitted through CAP in the TFWS category can receive a waiver of tuition fee, subject to the family income limit and merit rules fixed by the State CET Cell. GNVS appears in the CAP data with a TFWS category, and the institute's FRA sheet excludes TFWS students from the strength used for fee computation. TFWS seats are limited, so candidates should select the category carefully during CAP registration.

Other Support

Other schemes include minority community scholarships, support for persons with disability of 40% or more, and special schemes for students from certain states and territories. Education loans are available through banks, and the institute's tie-ups can help with paperwork. A student can generally claim a concession under only one scheme, so choose the one that gives the greatest benefit.

Documents usually needed are the domicile certificate, caste and validity certificates, income certificate, Class 12 and degree mark sheets, the CAP allotment letter and an attendance certificate. Before applying, calculate the net cost after any concession by using the approved fee shown on the fee structure page.
