GNIOT is a private engineering and management institute established in 2001 by the Shri Ram Educational Trust, Noida. It is approved by AICTE and affiliated with AKTU, Lucknow. It is not a government college. In 2024, it achieved NAAC A+ accreditation in its first accreditation cycle.

GNIOT accepts JEE Main and UPCET (now UPTAC) scores for B.Tech admission. The minimum eligibility is 10+2 with PCM and a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST). Students with less than 45% may also be considered through GNIOT's own entrance test, group discussion, and interview process. Final admission is through UPTAC counselling.
