The process includes a Personal Interview only, and the 2026-28 criteria do not describe a Written Ability Test.

Selected candidates pay an acceptance fee of Rs. 1,10,000, which is adjusted against the first-term fee, and there is no part payment. The offer is provisional until the original documents and category certificates are verified, and an EWS or NC-OBC certificate must be valid for the financial year of admission. Candidates who are in the final year of graduation can join provisionally and must submit their final marksheet and degree by 30 September 2026 for the batch concerned. Late joining is not allowed because attendance rules apply.

The IPM follows a separate route through the IPMAT conducted by IIM Indore, followed by an application on the IIM Ranchi website and a Personal Interview. International applicants apply through a separate online process.
