IIT Delhi's 320-acre campus in Hauz Khas, South Delhi is self-contained and vibrant. There are 14 student hostels (11 boys', 3 girls'), each named after a mountain range of India. The Mittal Sports Complex features a swimming pool, racquet courts, football stadium, cricket ground, hockey field, and basketball courts. Yes. A student can apply for branch change at the end of Year 1 only, provided they meet these criteria: CGPA above 8.0 (General/EWS/OBC) or above 7.0 (SC/ST/PwD); all credits and non-graded units of Year 1 must be earned; a minimum B grade in one identified first-year course of the target programme; no disciplinary action. The 2025–26 curriculum also allows a student to petition for an M.Tech/MS(R) degree in any offered programme in just one additional year (4+1 pathway), available to all UG students regardless of branch.
