Admission to the PGDM (Banking and Financial Services) follows a multi-stage process. Candidates first appear for CAT (conducted by the IIMs) or GMAT, indicating NIBM as a non-IIM institute of interest while applying for CAT. Required Entrance Exams
CAT (Common Admission Test, conducted by the IIMs) or GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test); candidates applying for CAT should indicate their intention to apply to NIBM as a non-IIM institute.
Admission Process at NIBM Pune
- Valid CAT or GMAT scorecard
- Bachelor's degree mark sheets/provisional certificate (final-year students may apply provisionally)
- Class X and XII mark sheets (used for the Academic Performance component)
- Category/caste validity certificate, where applicable
- Passport-size photographs
- Work experience and extracurricular activity documentation, if any
The final merit list is built on a composite score: CAT/GMAT scores (35%), Academic Performance based on SSC/HSC marks (25%), Personal Interview (25%), Oral Communication Test (10%), and Extracurricular activities/Work Experience (5%). Selected candidates must pay the first instalment within two weeks of the offer of admission to confirm their seat. Candidates allotted a seat must report with original documents for verification.
