Assam NEET UG 2026 PwD Admission: Verification on Sept 5 at 1 PM
he Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has issued an educational notice regarding admission to 1st-year MBBS/BDS courses in Government Medical and Dental Colleges of Assam for the 2026 session.
The notice is applicable to candidates who were provisionally selected under the PwD (Divyang) category after Round 1 of online counselling under Assam State Quota seats. These candidates had appeared before the Medical Board at GMC, Guwahati on September 3 and 4, 2026 for verification of their disability status.
As per the latest notice dated September 4, 2026, eligible candidates are required to appear physically at the Office of the Director of Medical Education, Assam, Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati-22, on September 5, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Candidates must carry all their relevant certificates in original for further verification.
DME Assam has clarified that only candidates who are verified and found eligible through this process will be permitted to take admission under the PwD (Divyang) category. The admission process will take place on the same day, September 5, 2026, at the DME Assam office.
