Assam NEET UG Counselling 2026: Round 1 Result Postponed
The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has postponed the publication of the 1st Round online counselling result for admission to 1st-year MBBS and BDS courses in the Government Medical and Dental Colleges of Assam for the 2026 session. The Educational Notice was issued on 23 August 2026.
According to the notice, the decision has been taken in view of the extension of the 1st Round counselling schedule by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), Government of India. As a result, the publication of the Round 1 result for State Quota seats in MBBS and BDS courses has been postponed until further order.
The update is specifically applicable to the State Quota counselling process for first-year MBBS/BDS admissions in Assam Government Medical and Dental Colleges. Candidates who have participated in the counselling should therefore wait for the next official announcement before proceeding with any further admission-related activity.
