CENTAC Puducherry MDS Counselling 2026: Round 3 Registration, Choice Filling and Seat Resignation Dates Announced
The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Puducherry, has issued a notice dated 17 October 2026 announcing Round 3 registration and course preference submission for PG Dental (MDS) admissions for the 2026–27 academic session.
The counselling process covers MDS seats in government and self-financing dental colleges in Puducherry under Government, Management (MQ), Management–Telugu Minority (MQT) and NRI quotas.
Eligible candidates can pay the applicable Round 3 registration fee and submit their course preferences through the CENTAC candidate dashboard from 17 October to 20 October 2026, up to 5:00 PM. The Round 2 admitted list and vacancy position have also been published on the CENTAC website.
Candidates must submit their course preferences afresh, as Round 2 preferences will no longer be valid. Unlike the Stray Vacancy Round for UG courses, sliding is allowed in MDS Round 3, and vacancies may arise dynamically during allotment. Unfilled NRI and Telugu Minority seats will be converted into Management Quota seats as specified in the notice.
Candidates admitted through CENTAC in Round 1 or Round 2 may participate in Round 3 without paying the registration fee again, subject to the exception for Puducherry EBC/SC/ST candidates admitted under Government Quota. Other candidates must pay the applicable fee or balance amount according to their previous payment and allotment status.
Candidates wishing to resign from a Round 1 or Round 2 admitted seat may submit a resignation request through their dashboard by 20 October 2026, 5:00 PM, with forfeiture of the registration fee. Resignation will not be permitted after the deadline.
Candidates allotted a seat in Round 3 who fail to join will forfeit the applicable amount and become ineligible for further counselling rounds. Candidates included in the Round 3 provisional allotment list will also be ineligible for subsequent rounds. Therefore, applicants should carefully review the counselling rules, fee requirements and course preferences before proceeding.
