J&K NEET UG Counselling 2026: Special Mop-Up Round MBBS BDS
The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has announced the Special/Mop-Up Round of Online Counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions 2026 to fill the shortfall seats reported by government and private colleges/institutions across the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. The notification was issued on 7 October 2026 under Notification No. 222-BOPEE of 2026.
The Special/Mop-Up Round of online preference filling, upgradation and allotment will be conducted from 7 October 2026 at 8:00 PM to midnight of 8 October 2026. Candidates who remained unallotted in Rounds 1, 2 or 3, as well as several candidates who were allotted and joined seats, can participate subject to the conditions specified by JKBOPEE. Candidates allotted a Round 3 seat cannot opt for the same institution in the Special Round, although they may participate for other eligible institutions. DownloaderCCC
Candidates who qualified NEET UG 2026 but did not participate in the First Round are also eligible, provided they pay the ₹1,500 counselling fee and submit preferences.
JKBOPEE has specifically instructed candidates to submit fresh preferences because choices submitted in earlier rounds will not be considered. The same preferences may also be used for the Mop-Up Round, if required. Candidates who fail to submit fresh choices will not be considered for allotment.
The Board will first fill vacant seats from the respective categories based on merit-cum-preference, followed by the Mop-Up Round if required. Candidates should carefully check the seat matrix before making choices, as an allotted seat cannot subsequently be changed.
