The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued a corrigendum dated September 25, 2026, for the third round of UGNEET 2026 medical and dental seat allotment. The corrigendum has been released in view of a nationwide bank strike and refers to the earlier publication dated September 23, 2026.
The latest update clarifies the eligibility conditions for candidates participating in Round 3 and revises the last date for payment of the caution deposit for medical and dental courses.
According to the corrigendum, candidates who were not allotted a medical seat in Round 1 or Round 2 may participate in the third round. Candidates who cancelled their medical or dental seat by paying the prescribed penalty are also eligible.
The notice additionally includes candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 1 and selected Choice-4, candidates who exercised the QUIT option before the final Round 2 results, and candidates who have reported to medical or dental colleges and are seeking upgradation under applicable High Court orders.
However, candidates who were allotted a medical or dental seat in Round 1 or Round 2 but failed to exercise the required choice are not eligible for Round 3.
KEA has specified October 1, 2026, as the last date for payment of the caution deposit for medical and dental courses.
Candidates should review the official UGNEET 2026 notification and corrigendum carefully to confirm their eligibility and complete the required steps within the prescribed deadline.
The corrigendum states that there are no other changes to the publication dated September 23, 2026. Candidates should refer to the official KEA portal for the complete counselling instructions and further updates.
