Karnataka UGNEET 2026: Option Entry Deadline Extended to September 10 for Medical & Dental Round 2
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has issued an important update for UGNEET 2026 Medical and Dental admissions. As per the notification dated September 9, 2026, the deadline for option entry for the second round of seat allotment has been extended.
Candidates can now modify, alter or delete their previously entered options up to September 10, 2026, at 9:30 AM. Eligible candidates should use this extended window to review and finalise their preferences for the second round of Medical and Dental courses.
KEA has also informed candidates about a newly added government medical college. The Government has issued the seat matrix for Bagalkote Medical College and Research, Bagalkote, which is a new Government Medical College. The seat matrix was hosted on the KEA website on September 7, 2026, and interested and eligible candidates can add options for this college during the option-entry window.
Candidates are required to log in to the KEA portal on or before the deadline, prioritise their choices, and save and submit their final options. KEA has advised candidates to regularly check its website because seats may be cancelled, forfeited or newly added and such changes can affect the availability of seats.
Candidates are also advised to retain all options they are genuinely interested in, as consequential vacancies arising during the allotment process may also be considered. Finally, candidates should preserve a printout of their finally submitted options for future reference.
