Post Diploma DNB Counselling 2026: Final Mop-Up Round Schedule Out
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the schedule for the Final (Mop-up) Round of online centralized merit-based counselling for Post Diploma DNB seats for the 2026 admission session. As per the notice dated August 11, 2026, eligible candidates can log in and fill their choices for the Final Mop-up Round from August 21 to August 24, 2026, up to 5:00 PM. The allotment process will be conducted from August 25 to 26, while the allotment result will be declared on August 27, 2026. Candidates allotted seats must complete physical joining at the allotted hospital from August 27 to September 1, 2026.
Only candidates who are already registered for counselling and were not allotted a seat in the First and/or Second Round are eligible to participate in the Final Mop-up Round. NBEMS will publish the seat matrix before the round begins. Hospitals have also been instructed to update joining and resignation details on the counselling portal by August 20, 2026, so eligible vacant seats can be included in the Mop-up Round. Candidates who receive a seat but fail to join the allotted institution by September 1, 2026 will lose the Post Diploma DNB seat, and their First Year Course Fee will be forfeited.
