Punjab NEET UG 2026: MBBS/BDS Round 1 Seat Surrender Deadline
Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, has issued a public notice regarding the surrender of MBBS/BDS seats for Round-1 candidates under Punjab NEET UG Counselling 2026.
The facility is applicable to candidates who joined the seat allotted to them during Round 1 and whose seat was retained in Round 2 because they were not upgraded to another seat. Candidates who no longer wish to continue with their Round-1 allotted seat can surrender it within the prescribed deadline.
Eligible candidates must physically report to their joined college and submit a written request to the Principal for surrender of the seat by 6:00 PM on September 15, 2026. The university has clarified that candidates completing the surrender process within the stipulated time will not face forfeiture of their Security Deposit.
Candidates should carefully consider their decision before submitting the surrender request because once the request is submitted, it cannot be reversed. The concerned college will process the surrender after receiving the candidate's written request.
Candidates submitting the surrender request after 6:00 PM on September 15 may be governed by the applicable counselling rules and could face forfeiture of the Security Deposit.
Candidates participating in Punjab NEET UG Counselling 2026 should therefore carefully check their Round 2 status and complete the surrender process within the specified timeline if they do not wish to retain their Round-1 MBBS/BDS seat.
