Punjab NEET UG Counselling 2026: Round 1 Seat Surrender Allowed Till September 13 With Free Exit
The Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot has issued a public notice for NEET UG 2026 candidates regarding surrender of provisionally allotted seats in Medical and Dental Colleges of Punjab. The notice, dated September 9, 2026, applies to candidates who joined their provisionally allotted seat in Round 1 but now wish to resign or surrender it.
Eligible candidates can surrender their Round 1 allotted seat up to September 13, 2026, till 2:00 PM with free exit. To surrender the seat, the candidate must submit an application to the Principal of the concerned college. The college will then process the surrender through the online counselling portal, after which the vacancy will be automatically updated for Round 2 counselling.
Candidates must carefully follow the deadline. If a candidate does not complete the surrender process through the concerned college within the stipulated date and time, they will be treated as having joined the allotted seat. After the deadline, surrender/resignation will result in forfeiture of the Security Deposit, and the rules applicable to Round 2 online counselling will come into effect.
An important instruction is that candidates must not send surrender applications directly to BFUHS. Any request submitted directly to the University will not be considered. Similarly, applications submitted to the concerned college after September 13, 2026, 2:00 PM will not be accepted.
