Tamil Nadu NEET UG 2026: Minority & NRI Category Candidates Added
The Tamil Nadu Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education & Research, has released an important notification regarding the inclusion of candidates under various minority and NRI categories for the academic year 2026-27.
The notification, dated October 6, 2026, has been issued pursuant to orders passed by the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court and the Madras High Court in multiple writ petitions.
As per the notice, Vincy Josiba.S, application number 26UG901186, has been included under the Christian Minority Category based on the order in W.P.(MD).No.27725 of 2026.
Under the Malayalam Minority Category, Ashwin Paul (Application No. 26UG916387) has been included pursuant to the Madras High Court order in W.P.No.39130 of 2026.
Under the Telugu Minority Category, Akshaya Ramesh (Application No. 26UG930760) has been included based on W.P.No.39099 of 2026.
Three candidates have also been included under the Telugu Linguistic Minority Category: Ammalu Kovvada, S. Srivikash and Vikasini.R.
Additionally, Bhuvanesh.R (Application No. 26UG923332) has been included under the NRI Category pursuant to the Madras High Court order in W.P.No.40038 of 2026.
