Tamil Nadu NEET UG Counselling 2026: Round 1 Schedule Extended
The Tamil Nadu Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education & Research has extended the Round 1 schedule for Tamil Nadu State UG Medical Counselling 2026. The extension has been announced following the revision of the counselling schedule for All India Quota by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Candidates participating in Tamil Nadu Round 1 counselling have therefore been given additional time to complete their choice-related activities.
As per the revised schedule, candidates can register, fill their choices and lock their choices until August 20, 2026, up to 5:00 PM. Following the completion of choice filling and locking, the seat allotment process will be conducted on August 21, 2026. The Round 1 seat allotment results are scheduled to be published on August 22, 2026.
Candidates who receive an allotment will be able to download their Allotment Order from August 22 to August 28, 2026, up to 12:00 Noon. The final deadline for reporting under Tamil Nadu Round 1 counselling is August 28, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Candidates should complete the required admission and reporting formalities within the prescribed deadline to avoid losing their allotted seat.
